Refugees Into sustainable employment
RAMFEL is partnering with Renaisi to deliver Project RISE (Refugees into Sustainable Employment) – a new service to support refugees in North and East London into sustainable, rewarding employment.
RISE includes:
English Language for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL) courses, as well as social wellbeing activities, confidence building and tailored one-to one employability support to increase employment prospects. This includes CV writing, interview preparation, job search support and help with benefits. RISE also provides in-work mentoring for up to six months to ensure a smooth transition into the labour market.
Project RISE is supported through the Building Better Opportunities programme, which is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund
(ESF). BBO is designed to support communities, families and individuals to gain the tools and skills necessary to find and sustain jobs they value – helping them to integrate, and increasing confidence and wellbeing. Building Better Opportunities sees the Big Lottery Fund matching funds from European Social Fund (ESF) 2014 – 2020, to provide joint investment in local projects that tackle poverty and promote social inclusion. Over the next few years the funding will be delivered in 38 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) areas according to local priorities.
